If there is an overall theme to the menu, it wasn't deliberate, but it could be called, sophisticated comfort foods. The menu has evolved over the years, based on culinary tinkering by Dawn, Chef Chad and customer response. Below you will find some tasty reviews of some of our favorite menu items.

FOOD REVIEWS
Lucky Moose Walleye Cakes: Crunchy on the outside, big flaky chunks on the inside, and a hint of sweetness makes these walleye cakes a mouth-watering delight. These pan-fried cakes have a light crunchy panko coating with a hint of fresh herbs blended in. Served with a zippy sun-dried tomato remoulade, these three big cakes could be an appetizer for 4-6 people or meal on its own. You can actually see the fish!
Salmon BLT: This is the perfect twist on the traditional BLT! Moist grilled salmon, thick-sliced bacon, crispy lettuce and tomato stacked high with tangy basil mayonnaise as the accompaniment. The light airy Italian ciabatta bun is the ideal bread to hold this delicious sandwich together. This flavor-packed sandwich will cure your biggest hunger craving but leave you feeling light and satisfied.

Crispy Fish Tacos: Minnesota summer in a tortilla with a kick! Two lightly toasted tortillas filled with crispy, hand breaded tilapia, fresh tomatoes, green onions and our homemade savory and spicy cole slaw make this one of the most exciting ways to eat fish! The hint of spiciness in the breading mixes perfectly with the cajun tartar sauce used in the lightly coated coleslaw. Served with fresh homemade guacamole and tortilla chips. Fresh, light, delicious!

LaVosh: The LaVosh is named for its base of thin Armenian cracker bread, but simply it looks like a pizza without the tomato sauce. Yet like pizza, it's a crowd pleaser that can serve perfectly as an appetizer for 10 or an entree for 5. Instead of thick dough, the crust is light and crispy and rather than mozzarella, the cheese is creamy, upscale Havarti. Unlike pizza, LaVosh feels light and healthy, especially topped with fresh vegetables. Make it a meaty meal by adding Canadian bacon, peppered bacon, chicken, or taco meat. For many gourmands who are indifferent to traditional pizza, the LaVosh is their favorite thing on the menu.
Twisted Paella: It takes a bold chef to make this dish in a small town. Who would have thought that such authentic Cajun and Mediterranean flavors could be found Up North, with a presentation that knocks your socks off. If you're looking for a unique and upscale dinner option to impress your date, this is it. The plate is a kaleidoscope of mussels, scallops, and grilled chicken, swimming in a smoky base of orzo. Fresh and raw green onions dot the plate, making it eye and mouth popping. Have you ever been down to the soulful bayou's of New Orleans? This dish will take you there.
